How do I verify my rate and reservation?

Upstairs follows the Airbnb reservation procedure. You will be contacted via your Airbnb booking for the confirmation information.

Can I bring my pet?

No. While we love animals of all kinds, Upstairs is not pet-friendly. If you bring a pet on-site without our permission, we must charge a pet fee to your card, plus taxes. Any damage or cleaning as a result of your pet will be charged accordingly. Thank you for understanding.

Can I bring my infant or child? 

These spaces were not designed with children in mind and are not equipped to accommodate, nor are they safe for, children of any age. Thank you for understanding.

Where do I park?

We offer street parking only. You may park on Campbell, Shelby or Main Streets for an unlimited amount of time or on Market Street with 2 hour parking Monday-Friday. It is essential always to read street signs to avoid tickets or towing.

If you'd like to park in the nearby AC Hotel Garage, the daily rate is $22.

What are the food and drink options?

There are many! Please see the Neighborhood Page to see some of our favorites.

Can I smoke in my room or the courtyard or garage?

Definitely not. The entire Upstairs property is non-smoking. If you light up or vape, we must charge a smoking fee to your card, plus taxes.

Can I store my bags on-site before I check-in or after I check-out?

No. We do not have the ability to store luggage. 

Can I have a package sent there prior to my arrival?

Sorry, no. We do not have the ability to receive packages for guests.

Is Upstairs ADA Compliant?

We sincerely apologize, but Upstairs is not ADA Compliant. Many local hotel options will be able to accommodate your needs. Additionally, guests will need to climb stairs to access the rooms.

Can I take professional photos in the suite?

There's a possibility you may. Please email strmgmt@host.smartbnb.io, and someone will get back to you shortly.

What’s your policy on illegal drugs?

No guest is permitted to purchase, use, ingest, possess, sell or otherwise distribute illegal drugs or other substances or attempt to do any of the same from any guest while on Upstairs premises or in the immediate vicinity thereof. If any of the actions above prove true, the relevant guest and/or associate will be removed from the property, and authorities will be notified.

Can I have a party in my room?

Nope. If you’re a 24-hour party person, we are not the place for you.

Can I bring a firearm or weapon to Upstairs?

There are ZERO firearms or weapons of any kind tolerated at Upstairs. We are a gun-free, weapon-free space. Don’t test us on this policy.
